I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things so starting work at the Barfoot & Thompson Otahuhu branch about two and a half years ago was a very good fit for me. Otahuhu is a multi-cultural suburb with a rich historical background. I have a Bachelors in Business Administration, a Post Graduation Diploma in Management (Finance) and a Masters in Business Administration in Financial Management. Prior to starting at Barfoot & Thompson I worked with Small Business Accounting as an office assistant for six months and also completed some volunteer work. My prior roles emphasised customer service, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and I take on the challenge of handling difficult situations with ease. The ability to multi-task together with being fluent in Hindi, English and Punjabi is an asset when I am helping tenants to find a home. I'm glad I chose Barfoot & Thompson, a family owned business with strong values, for my place of work. I began as an Office Administrator and was then promoted to Property Management Administrator. My goal is to provide excellent service to our clients, both tenants and landlords, and to help my team maintain and increase our portfolios under management. When I joined the property management team at Barfoot & Thompson, I brought with me 12+ years of experience in the residential property market, nine of which were with Barfoot & Thompson. A further two years in commercial property management strengthened my knowledge of the industry as a whole. In terms of formal qualifications, I hold a degree in Accounting and Economics, complemented by a recent Postgraduate Certificate in Property from The University of Auckland. My passion lies in matching the right tenants to the perfect homes and supporting landlords with their investment properties. As a landlord myself, I understand the challenges and joys of property ownership first-hand. I take great pride in delivering outstanding service to tenants and landlords alike.
