A rare opportunity to buy two established orchards as a package totalling 22.485 hectares with 16.55 canopy hectares of SunGold kiwifruit and .20 hectares of Rootstock ready to graft over.
In the package are two orchards; one at 27 Orangewood Road, Kerikeri which comprises of 11.6723 hectares and has 7.65 hectares mature Gold Kiwifruit.
This well-recognised and highly regarded orchard is strategically located behind the Orangewood Packhouse (now Seeka).
The orchard has produced 15,000 trees per hectare in the past and as an on track for a similar result this season.
Excellent structures with permanent shelter in place and water is via the very reliable Kerikeri irrigation scheme ensuring consistent year on year production.
The second orchard is located at 2504 State Highway 10 and is known as Elliott's orchard. The land area is 10.5762 hectares of which there is 8.7 canopy hectares SunGold kiwifruit.
This is a new kiwi fruit development and is in its fourth year of establishment and is estimated to be producing around 12,000 to 13,000 trays per hectare this year.
This orchard will become a trophy orchard.
The orchards are for sale as a package and will exclude this year's crop.
