Overview

Owners Wellington-bound - a very reluctant sale!

Nestled in popular Mahau Sound, this beautifully renovated property would suit permanent or holiday living. Extensively upgraded in 2021, all the hard work has been done - simply move in and start making memories! Designed with easy living and entertaining in mind, the heart of the home is a stylish, open-plan cook's kitchen with breakfast bar, generous dining and living space - all with recycled Rimu floors that lead out to the 116sqm Garapa timber deck via expansive glass doors. A high-stud porch extends the living space and provides shelter year-round, making this the ideal space for hosting, or simply enjoying the gorgeous view over Mahau Sound. Inside, the master suite is a private sanctuary with tiled ensuite (underfloor heating), walk-in wardrobe and direct deck access. A further three rooms (two double, one single) provide flexibility for family or guests. A mooring for a vessel up to 12 metres in length is included in the sale, and small boats can be launched directly off the beach in Ohingaroa Bay. You can bring your trailer boat right up to the house where there is a four-bay garage/workshop and large covered area ensuring ample room for the vessels, vehicles, tools and toys. The thoughtfully landscaped, no-fuss grounds include a vegetable garden, fruit trees, polytunnel with watering system, and mature native planting with flourishing native birdlife. Our vendors have made the difficult decision to sell their home and move back to Wellington. They are sad to say goodbye, but another journey in the North Island is calling them. Contact The Girls today to arrange your private viewing.
