Overview

A Rare Reporoa Offering!

Situated in the heart of one of Bay of Plenty/Waikato's most renowned dairying districts, this 113.5ha dairy farm presents an outstanding opportunity to secure a productive farming unit with proven performance, quality infrastructure and flexibility for future farming objectives. Located on sought-after Halcrow Road and adjoining the Waikato River catchment, the property currently operates a low cost and efficient once-a-day milking system, milking approximately 300 cows across 110 effective hectares. Production has consistently achieved around 110,000kgMS annually, equating to around 370kgMS/cow. The farm features predominantly flat contour with pockets of rolling and steeper land, providing a highly workable platform for day-to-day management. Soils are comprised of mainly free-draining pumice country with some localised heavier soils, supported by an established drainage network. Waterways, including the Torepatutahi Stream which forms part of the boundary, are fenced, while internal drains have also been excluded from grazing. Farm infrastructure is well positioned and centred within the property. The modern 36-aside herringbone cowshed is designed for efficient cow flow and is equipped with automatic cup removers, drafting gate (sharemilker owned) and a recently installed ice bank cooling system. The shed has capacity to be expanded to 40-aside should future requirements dictate. Adding further value, an extensive solar power system has been installed across the dairy shed roof, helping to offset on-farm electricity costs and improve operational efficiency. Effluent is managed via a fully lined pond and distributed through a travelling irrigator system. Supporting infrastructure includes multiple calf-rearing facilities, additional storage sheds and a large natural silage bunker. Pasture is predominantly ryegrass and clover based, complemented by areas of lucerne and chicory, while winter cropping supports the farm's feed requirements through the dry months. Accommodation is provided by two dwellings comprising a three-four bedroom main home (depending on configuration) and a separate three-bedroom staff house. Together they provide practical and flexible accommodation for owners, family members or farm staff. Combined with its desirable location, productive platform and solid infrastructure base, this is a property that offers proven performance today while providing flexibility for a range of future farming objectives.
