Overview

Where the Land of Opportunity Meets the Sea

462.2517 Hectares This unique and picturesque property enjoys expansive, elevated views overlooking Taieri Mouth and has been faithfully farmed by the Gorton family for nearly 70 years. Combining farmland, diverse wildlife, and areas of native bush, the property offers buyers the opportunity to continue farming as is or increase the productivity. Improvements include a comfortable four-bedroom home positioned on an elevated site with commanding sea views. Farm infrastructure includes a three-stand woolshed with covered yards, cattle yards, a six-bay hay barn/implement shed, a three-bay shed, and a deer shed. A network of farm tracks provides practical access throughout the property, with external access available from Sawmill Road, Coutts Gully Road, Taieri Beach Road, and Finlayson Road. Water is supplied from multiple ponds and natural creeks around the farm. Fencing is predominantly permanent, with some areas of hot wire. The property has been running between 1,500–1,800 ewes, along with 300–500 replacements. With its scale, location, natural beauty, and sea outlook, this property presents a rare opportunity to maintain the current easy-care farming system or to enhance and diversify as desired. The property could potentially be sold in smaller parcels on the basis that a contemporaneous sale of the remaining land is secured.
